Here's the drivers I got with a Typhoon Sound Systems
Sound Card 16 "Gold" 3D - Based on the Opti 82C924

This includes Win 3.11 & Win 95 Drivers

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Sun_Z … QDZ?usp=sharing

Dunno, might help someone? There's hardly any info online about these cards.

When making copies of driver disks (or any other software), please always try to make disk images of them instead of copying the files separately from the disks. Sometimes the installations programs don't work correctly if the files are copied separately and the installation program is asking for a floppy disk with a certain volume label.

I often use WinImage on Windows to make disk images, so I can recommend that software for making them. But it is necessary to keep the floppy disks write protected, all modern versions of Windows will otherwise modify the floppy disks without asking the user. It creates some hidden directory on floppy disks.

On Linux, command "dd" can be used to make disk images of floppy disks.

I'm unable to reply to your PM due to my newbie level of Vogons (my slow transition from being a lurker to a contributor is evident haha) but I've created disk images from the Typhoon Sound Card (Opti 924 chipset) and will do that with all the disks in write-protect from now on.

Floppy images (created w/WinImage) are here:

And if looking at this screenshot, here is the reason why always keep write protection on, if copying files from floppy disks to Windows machines. Windows always makes a "System Volume Information" directory on floppy disks that don't have write protection on. Often this is not a problem, but it is better to avoid.

Anyone got the DOS drivers for the Smart and Friendly SCSI adaptor 3510A in ISA format?

Seems to be a clone of the DTC 3520 card.

Not having any luck finding a copy of these drivers to test one of these cards I got out of an old Build I bought (no HDD to copy original drivers from).

Can you post a picture of the card ? The archive of DTC says it the 3520 is "Fully compatible with Adaptec's AHA-1520 ISA product".
http://web.archive.org/web/20000614165236/htt … csi/3520a.shtml

edit: found a picture and it has no BIOS (not good for HD's), jumpers for IRQ and Port Address so is closer to a DTC 3510
http://web.archive.org/web/20000304051110/htt … csi/3510a.shtml
"Adaptec 151x/AIC-6X60 Compatible" so should use Aspi2dos.sys

I have question does all Gameport Joysticks working without any drivers, or some of them need some drivers for DOS or Windows?

All Analog Joysticks and Gamepads work in DOS w/o drivers on a Gameport, the number of buttons and axis is limited to 4 buttons and 4 axis. You need drivers to use more than that and most better quality have Windows drivers so all axis and buttons work.
Win95 is when Digital/Analog joysticks came out with multi buttons and axis (example: MS 3D Pro Joystick with 8 buttons, joystick, top hat, throttle, etc. In analog mode under DOS only the main joystick and 4 buttons work unless game directly supports more)
Not sure if that helps. Probably better to ask in the general Old Hardware section as others may have better info

Some stuff that has more than 4 button daisy chains off the keyboard port, such as Thrustmaster sticks, throttles and pedals.

No DOS drivers, but you do have to program the controllers.

Ok, thanks for info i have this one:
Logitech WingMan Extreme Digital 3D with Gameport
https://www.youtube.com/product/E_g_11vs2fkxj … Glja2VyLlVTLmVu
- there pictures with some bundled cd..

And searching for drivers. I tried it with Win98 Gamepad control panel, but i didnt got any response.. other joysticks work well with same test. So it could be dead.

In vogons library is driver for
3D Pro model.. and some other Logitech drivers, but there is not list of supported devices for some drivers, so im not sure if there are for it..
http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/index.php?catid= … menustate=26,25

But maybe its lost cause if test is failing.. I also order some USB gameport adapter, but it take month to get it.

Going thru Logitechs archives it says it works with Logitech WingMan Software v3.x and up which is a Win95/Win98 driver +profiler package, it does not work with Logitech Entertainment Software which has DOS support.
From the LWS 3.3 readme.txt:
"3. DOS AND WINDOWS 3.X
Logitech Wingman Software is designed to work with the Windows 95/98
operating systems only. Windows 3.x and true DOS (6.22 or lower) are not supported.
LWS does support DOS games that run in a Windows 95/98 DOS box."

From some previous Vogons topics other say it is Digital only and the USB to Gameport adapter allows connecting to older sound cards but runs in a digital only mode.

Squall / fellow uploaders, what's the procedure for updating zip contents in a driver I've already uploaded?

As far as I know you can edit most anything on your post except the actual file you uploaded.
SquallStrife can remove the entry and then you can re-add it.
PM SquallStrife and ask if he will remove it.

Another choice is to edit the text on current upload and point to an updated post. Still should PM SquallStrife and tell him about it and why....

Cheers bud. I think I'll go with the comprehensive option; upload a new one, edit the old one, then PM the boss for removal.
