I have a motherboard (FIC-VIP) that takes 128KB eeproms, but the motherboard BIOS is only 64KB. I'm using the 4.27GN2A image, and the first 64KB of the ROM image is a VGA BIOS that I don't need.

Is it possible to put a working option rom onto the first 1/2 of the chip? XTIDE comes to mind, since this BIOS doesn't support large drives.

If that's possible, that leaves another 52KB available. What other useful option roms are there that I could put in that extra space?

Turns out I should not have limited myself to the hardware forum when searching.

OK I found this thread for putting XTide in your BIOS:
Adding XT-IDE option ROM to Asus P3B-F BIOS [Thanks to DenizOezmen, it actually works!!!]

I guess I could also add Basic:
IBM ROM Basic - option ROM for PC clones

or and old game:
CGA game on option ROM
