Terratec Maestro 16
Terratec Maestro 16/95
Terratec Maestro 32/96
Terratec EWS64
Yes, this terratec maestro is almost the same as the Opti card I posted above.
And since I already have a few of these Opti card I will use one.
The actual Terratec card cost too much in America.
I would like to have this one if I could find one.
Both were made in Taiwan so shouldn't be that hard to find.

Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉
What IDE controller chipset did they use in German computers ?
Winbond, UMC, Adaptec, WD, etc….

Yes.
Get a Stihl MS500i, strip the insides and put a Via Eden ITX- system inside. Voilà. German engineering at its best. I'd add a speaker with engine effects and a small motor to turn the chain for that sense of realness.

And call it a VolksPuta.

Yeah, I can have it boot with German folk music.
These guys sound like Mexican mariachi .
interestingly enough I saw a german made hdd/floppy controller on ebay recently ^^ made me think of this thread
I have a German made Voodoo1, bought second hand many years ago.
When it arrived it had mud on it.
Not sure if either of those statements are relevant to this thread.

I think I am going to abandon this entire project. This thing is just weirding me out.
I am just going to build a regular 486 computer.
[Project] Regular 486 computer.
What is the most regular IDE controller?

Or make a 486 with abandoned parts instead? To the junkyard! 😁

IDE and floppy controller card has the vias made using conductive paint. Not very smartest way to do. Electrolytic goo eats this very easily. Back in the day (during 2003 thru 2010), I had rare type of TV that had a PiP module that cannot be bypassed like others I can easily bypassed using two capacitors. Had to be fixed at this point.
So I checked the module board and found few corroded vias done like that way and fixed them and replaced capacitors.
