Bought a Pokemon Pikachu Gold GameBoy Color with the case for a bit of a high price of $101.01+S&H and MI tax.

it may seem expensive I guess but it also looks to be in good overall condition and it's very collectable anyway, most of the time the case would be long gone too but as it came with it that's nice
are you going to do some minor restoration yourself?
Yep. Going to order a new shell and a lens. It's too bad the Q5 XL lens doesn't have the Pikachu and Pichu on the sides.
Or I could fix the original shell and if that fails, then I'll reshell it to make it look original.

I have FX5900XT video card with nice passive cooling, but it is too fast for all rigs I have. So decided to build P4 rig and found D865GSA MB with P4 524 (3.06GHz with HT) and 2x1GB DDR400 for 8 euro 😀
Win XP install and some test before MB goes into case:

nice card I quite enjoy mine. Fast and highly compatible. nice yours has ram upgrade. Had to upgrade mine myself. Would get only half screen in some vesa modes without the ram upgrade.

Does this card have Vesa 2.0 support in its BIOS? I am currently using an MX86200 PCI and while it's pretty damn fast it only has VBE 1.2. I replaced it with a SiS 68C326 PCI and while it has perfect VBE 2.0 compatibility and almost perfect DOS compatibility it is significantly slower than the MX86200 in DOS games. I was hoping the ARK1000 PCI I have could be half way between the two. I mean, even if mine doesn't have Vesa 2.0 I could ask for a dump of your BIOS? 🤣
my vlb doesn't. Id guess ARK2000 or higher does thats only a speculation. After upgrading to 2mb it does run star gunner perfectly though.
Just bought a famiclone (seller's picture). It's ugly and doesn't work but I can't resist a challenge!

That's a shame.. SiS 86C326 for now then.
Today I bought a lot of more then 50 cards for about 35 Euro/43 USD... I just couldn't resist 😀. So here is what I've got:
Medion Geforce 4 MX 460
Voodoo 3 2000 AGP
Leadtek A6600GT AGP
Geforce 3 TI 200
ATi All-in-Wonder Pro
ATi All-in-Wonder Radeon 7200
ATi Radeon 9600 Pro
ATi Radeon 9550
Abit Siluro Geforce 4 TI4200-8x 64MB with a strange cooler glued to the GPU and heatsinks on the memory chips
Sparkle FX5500
S3 Savage IX - it's a strange card, it has the 8 MB memory integrated into the GPU; maybe it's a laptop GPU...
Fastware VC923/926 C with a Cirrus Logic CL-GD5446GD chip
2 TNT2 M64 cards
2 Geforce 2 MX400 cards
ATi Rage IIC
2 ATi Rage128 cards
Matrox G200
Some sound cards:
2 ISA OEM HP Multimedia Pro 16V-A with Aztech AZT2320 chip
Creative CT4830
Creative SB0570
Creative CT4170
Creative CT4180
ExpertColor MED3700 ISA card - should have a Yamaha YMF718-S chip with OPL3...
And, of course, the rest... PCI sound cards with CMI chip, realtek PCI LAN cards, PCI soft modems, TV tuners, even one satellite receiver card and some graphics cards.
The usual pile of junk/e-waste 😀
Overall, I'm happy about what I found on this lot... and all of the graphics cards are working, except the Matrox and one Rage128 😁. Didn't had the time to test the sound cards yet...
Got one of these off eBay the other day. I remember seeing them in magazines but never seen one with my own eyes!

for 35 Euro/43 USD this must be about as good as it can get in vintage PC terms, the first 6 cards alone are completely worth that price and the you have all those others! the fact that most work is a testament to the durability of a lot of electronics. what a great purchase!
now you have to buy 15 or so motherboards, 15 or so HDD, 15 or so cases, PSUs.... heh! 😀
Toshiba Libretto 70CT - looks complete in box with some addons.
I'm yet to unpack it. So only the sellers photo for now 😉

Got myself an interesting CRT today, which seems to be EGA monitor. It's Thomson 4460D. It requires some adjustment; we'll see if it works at all. I kinda like the design. EGA CRTs seem to be rare - It's the first one I have seen for sale for a long time.

I saw that one on sale too but figured I don't have space for it. Plus I'm not sure the seller knows how to pack for shipping and I was not going to drive all the way to get it.
Anyway, my point is don't throw it away if it's broken - I might still be interested in it. There is a 4-position switch on it that selects full colors or R/G/B only, try it and see if you get all of them. That would mean the CRT is not shorted internally, which is the only unobtainium part I think.
Pickup up this 6 channel mixer to mix a number of soundcard sources. Was £28 delivered off Amazon, and for the money I'm mighty impressed.
