Some goodies from Serdashop to play with. 😁

(Okay, technically I didn't buy it today. But I opened the box today. 😉)

Compliments on the tidy and proper packaging, by the way!

I was finally able to get a PCMCIA game port to use with my Libretto; I have been trying to find one for quite a while.

Does the CPU still work? These capacitors are just for power smoothing, I lost one when removing the glued heatsink on mine, but it hasn't affected it's performance or stability. They are not immediately critical for CPU operation.

You know, it did not even occur to me that the CPU could work at this state at all. Iposted a separate thread about it also, and a with you and others suggesting that it still could work, I tried it...it has been running Prime95 for a couple of hours now, no problem at all, what a surprise to me, especially considering this:

HAHAHAHA. Not as much as having a large box full of different sound modules sent from Japan.... Paid way more for shipping than I did for the modules themselves... to the tune of a bit over $200 for shipping. And that was with having Buyee.jp combine everything into one package.

But the package did arrive in less than a week so that was nice. And they packaged it really well. Everything has good amount of bubble wrap. Paid an extra $15 for "protective packaging" which I am not even sure they do anything extra.

And to top it off, almost all shipping options are not even available right now and the default service they recommend that isn't available right now was quoted at over $300.

Did you post photos of that yet?

Here are the pics:

The extremely rare Kawai SP-10.
I contacted Kawai Japan and they were kind enough to email me a pdf scan of the user manual which I am working on translating.
The protective plastic film is still on the display. It is in pretty much perfect shape except for a small spot on the corner of the side panels. This thing is way heavier than the Yamaha MDP10(X) and Roland MT-300S. Can't wait to actually try it out.

Continued:

Yamaha DTEXPRESS I and II - drum trigger modules that are GM compliant. The protective film is still on the DTEXPRESS display. The last model that was GM compliant is the DTEXPRESS III. Would like to get one of those someday if I can find one for cheap. You can change the drum kit in real time.

This is after cleaning everything. This thing was really, really dirty. The protective film is still on the display.

And, of course, the rest... PCI sound cards with CMI chip, realtek PCI LAN cards, PCI soft modems, TV tuners, even one satellite receiver card and some graphics cards.
The usual pile of junk/e-waste 😀

Overall, I'm happy about what I found on this lot... and all of the graphics cards are working, except the Matrox and one Rage128 😁. Didn't had the time to test the sound cards yet...

Nice haul, but those TV cards, even if they're analog, check them over for being premium versions with compression hardware on, that's still kinda useful as you can run several security cams, without them chomping CPU or too much disk space... or just snarf your favorite channel off a convertor box... or "backup" your betamax tapes.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Good find. So many of these compact line mixers look great until you realise they're all mono inputs. This one appears to have 6x stereo TRS inputs which makes it a winner, and tempting...

This card as part of a small lot: Quadro 4 980 XGL, basically a GeForce 4 Ti 4800 (= 4600 with AGP 8x). No artifacts during POST, have to test it thorouhgly some time next week. Whole lot was 23€ shipped, so if it's fully functional that's a great deal.

MS Sidewinder 3D Pro for W95 - original box w/manual and 3.5'' floppy disk driver

Back when i used to have a 486 dx4-100mhz system in mid 1996, i bought this same joystick specifically to play, "TOP GUN - Fire At Will" on CDROM.

Sadly,i dont have the 486 or the joystick anymore, sold them off when i upgraded to WIN98se three yrs later, but i still have the game and needed a more updated joystick, of which i still have in my posession in its original box, but no longer use.

I currently have a working PENTIUM 200mhz AT system(it can be clocked down to 90mhz) i built myself that i never got rid of, just sitting on the shelf laying dormant, figure i could wipe the WIN98se thats currently on it, put WIN95c back on it and relive the glory days with my vintage games that i was buying left and right during the late 90s.

I thought Sidewinder joysticks were a no go in Windows 10? I have a Precision 2 still NIB..

There's an Atmel based project to convert some of the Sidewinders to USB, which worked for my 3D Pro Plus:

The Precision 2 is already USB, I think it's a driver problem for this stick?
