Been playing TR1 with Glidos for months with no probs.
Now for some reason the game hangs at the stats screen after a level.
Uaually after rebooting and reloading,the game will go past the stats screen..any ideas?

P.S. Don't know if it matters,but I had to reinstall TR and this time used the ready made archive - the problem has only occured since then..

I sometimes get this but have never been able to attribute it anything definitive as it's completely random. We'd need to do a huge amount of testing to make any definite claim about what might cause it and I simply don't have time for that. Annoying as it is, I can live with it. Any thoughts, Paul?

Difficult to analise when I can't produce the problem here. I have heard of similar problems when people have swapped to a different version of TOMB.exe but have loaded their old savegames from before the swap.

Using VDos32 might help in that it might produce an error message that tells us the cause.

I have Glidos 1.34 so can use Vdos..but wasn't able to unlock it last time I tried?..

That's odd. Should unlock ok, provided my server is up. Any error message?

Ah! I hadn't realised that that was confusing until now. That top thing that says "Unlock over the internet" is a button not just a description.

Got game to run with Vdos now,but find the directional controls on my gamepad don't work..was fine when running game normally so is this due to Vdos?Other gamepad contols - draw,shoot,jump,roll - are ok.

Yeah, sorry, I'd expect that. It is early days for VDos32, and I haven't implemented support for gamepads.

I was more thinking of this as an experiment you could try to see if it told us anything.

Hmmm, that's sort of encouraging for VDos32, but I was hoping it would fail in the same way so that we can tell what's happening.

I guess I better add joy stick support to VDos32 at some stage then. 😁

If you can do that Paul that would be great..looks like I'll be playing under Vdos from now on..game has behaved perfectly over 8 levels..😀
