Hello! Not so long ago I've become a happy owner of Creative 3D Blaster Voodoo 2 (12MB). I'd like to know if I could use Glidos with native 3Dfx Glide render. I've tried to replace glide2x.dll from Glidos package with 3Dfx native library (provided by driver), but the trick didn't work out 🙁 (Error). I use latest FastVoodoo XP driver and Win XP. Is there any hope to make it work?

That's the right thing to try. What was the error?

In any case, you wont get TRX packs working that way: the glide wrappers supplied with Glidos have support for a Glidos-specific Glide extention.

Then message box with "Read failure" text shows up.

Is it possible to disbale glide-wrapper specific extensions in Glidos? Because Glidos is the only application, which works with DOS Glide games in NT virtual DOS machine...

Sorry, my mistake. But compared to Glidos dgVoodoo is a bit buggy, on my configuration in particular 🙁.

The extensions are used only for the TRX hires packs, so Glidos will stick within the original Glide API provided you don't install the packs.

Its strange that the error says Glide3x.dll and not Glide2x.dll.

It is because glide2x.dll is wrapper for glide3x.dll

Oh ok. I don't know why that doesn't work. There have been other people tried similar and succeeded.

Trying an earlier version of Glidos might help - before I changed over to providing the choice between OpenGlide and psVoodoo.
