Hi,

I am using DOSBox 0.65 with Linux (Ubuntu 6.10) an needs to realize direct hardware access (I/O 0x310, IRQ 10 and MEM 0xd000 - 0xd3fff).

I am starting DOSbxo with: dosbox /freedos and installed Freedos to drive C:.
Is it possible to boot from C:\?

Thank you.

Steffen

You will not get direct hardware access in DOSBOX. You can boot another version of DOS in DOSBOX, but it will not give you access to your hardware...

Hi,
I'm experiencing problems with make serial ports working in DOSbox despite of trying a lot of things which I've found from other threads (from h-a-l and others...thanks them all a lot) But still can't make my application communicate through COM port. The last chance as those guys mentioned is to boot a real DOS inside DOSBOX. Could you please share some directions how to do that. I have MS DOS version 5 or 6.

Thanks in advance,

Roman
