I am looking for the firmware update for this drive. The latest I have seen online is 1.07. It currently has 1.05. The only link I found is no longer active, even using archive.org.

http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/583_107.zip

Any help would be appreciated.

Apparently this link should work: http://www.rpc1.org/farzeno/club-internet/fir … are/583_107.zip 😏

RPC1 site didn't update the paths when they mirrored the original site. I did locally download the file to test it, though.

Site update: cwcyrix.duckdns.org -> cwcyrix.nsupdate.info due to the former no longer working.

Ouch, that means that the day that site goes down (hopefully never, but life is life), the archive.org copy won't have those files .

Seems the entire /farzeno/club-internet/ section is present: http://www.rpc1.org/farzeno/ This'll be less work on my part. Then again, rpc1.org itself is defunct and a set of archives only remain on that server. Should do a local mirror of it myself. (I already missed out on a bunch of historical Plextor files three years ago, however...)

Site update: cwcyrix.duckdns.org -> cwcyrix.nsupdate.info due to the former no longer working.

Can you please post the firmware update if you still have it ? Seems it cannot be found now.....
Thanks and Never mind. It was a browser issue 😀

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

I will see what I can do, but I don't have the CD-ROM anymore. I gave it to a friend for one of their retro projects. The biggest issue I had with this drive in a couple of systems was that it did not play nice with some Socket 7 boards IDE controllers in Windows 98SE. Plus I could never get the firmware update to work either. It was stuck at 1.05 and would not update.
