Hello, i'm having trouble getting my ide to sd adapter working on windows 98. when I connect it to any of the molex connectors the floppy drive won't read the boot disk but when I unplug it the drive does but it doesn't recognize the adapter when trying to run fdisk.

When you say the floppy does not read boot disk, do you mean it stops reading at all? Maybe an electrical problem?

Is the SD card recognized as a hard drive in bios?

Have you tried the adapter in an other pc to see that its not bad?

There are some things to test, but it bugs me about the floppy drive, it doesn't seem right that it should be affected and I don't really understand what's going on and how to help. I would really adress this issue before getting the SD card to run..

But, is the HDD set to auto in bios? I don't know much about this but I have it like that. Have you tried a different SD card? Some bios have size limitations. Maybe it is possible to upgrade the bios.
