Why are you posting DOSBox questions in the Windows subforum!?

Whatever setup.exe is supposed to do, it's a Windows 3.x program and will not run in DOSBox.

If setup.exe is a 16 bit executable, try to run it using OTVDM

I'm pretty sure MOO2 had both a DOS (protected mode) executable and a Windows executable. Have you tried the DOS one?

Doesn't DOSBox -X run Win9x games? Even if Windows doesn't.

I've used network over LAN. I have read the network over WAN works too, if you have one person with Windows server edition.

The online manuals for this game are illegible.

As I already wrote, in this case setup.exe is a Windows 3.x application, not a "Win9x game". And in any case DOSBox-X isn't going to run anything related to Windows (either Windows 3.x or Win9x) unless you install the relevant version of Windows in DOSBox-X.

BoxedWine and OTVDM run Windows applications without a Windows installation.

I have no idea what this is supposed to with Master of Orion 2.

That PDF is entirely legible if you zoom in.

Shouldn't the Tandy sound be available for MIDI even if I have the OPL emulation turned off in DOSBox -X?
