Wow that's quite the fantastic price.

Another gold rush and a few more goodies.

A small and cheap purchase today, a CPU for an upcoming build - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.

About £8 including postage and not from China, why not. Could have gotten it for a few £££ less if I'd waited/shopped around, but not going to quibble.

The Q6600 is to be an upgrade for a PC I was given recently for free, which currently has a Core 2 Duo E7400. This will be turned into a modest 2007-era gaming build to twin up with another Q6600-based PC that I've had since 2007. Both will be paired with a GeForce 8800 GT, for some LAN gaming goodness.

The last of the "affordable" Core 2 Quad-series, the Q9500.
China post is unusually fast lately, it took a week to arrive from China to Hungary.

Bought a USB external HD, never opened box from 2005 (so not very Vintage) has a WD 160GB 7200rpm IDE drive inside. Tested it and was powered up only once before I started playing with it, probably by SimpleTech or WD.

Got this nice soundcard for a few bucks 🙂
Does anyone have the documentation for me for setting it up?

Non PnP and supports nearly all the CDrom interfaces, nice card!

As far as I know ES688 "just works". No drivers required to get sound in DOS games. Just select the Sound Blaster Pro option if the game doesn't have native ESS support: Address 220, IRQ 5, DMA 1 (or whatever is configured in the jumpers).

I want to use the IDE header as well with a CF card. With the XTIDE BIOS i have to set up the right IDE port. That's why I ask for the manual or better the Jumper settings- i can't find it on stason

Bought it for 39€ in Japan but with import,shipping, EU adapter and new battery....Still not Ebay price level haha.

Today I went to the flea market after 1,5 years, the flea markets in my area where closed, and I found these:

- a generic ISA graphics card with OAK OTI037C
- a Media Magic ISA sound card with Cristal CS4231A-KL chip and Yamaha OPL YMF262-M
- a Skywell Magic 3D II (or Trust Voodoo Dragon 2) 12 MB
I paid less then 2 Euro for all the cards 😀)

Yamaha YST-M7 active speakers for 6 Euro.

It was a really fruitful comeback 😀

According to the information JP21 should be set as enabled so I would get the first IDE controlled adress 1F0 right?
