Quicktime's problem was that the content was at times dependent on a specific QuickTime version. So having the newest installed didn't automatically mean that it worked. Especially major version changes were problematic

Some support screens will have unusable mouse and tactical combat will go way too fast. So I wouldn't say it runs well, or is even playable, without additional fixes.
Also the game will crash a lot, but I'm not sure that's a compatibility issue or if it was just that way in the first place. There's a reason people are sticking with the DOS version.

Workaround alert. Really, that means the game is nonfunctional in Windows.

Oregon Trail 5th edition gold is worse than Oregon Trail 5th edition! The gold version does have two different years on the CD.
Assuming the games that don't work are Windows 3.1 was going to far.
I forgot about the compatibilty mode menu. It doesn't do any good for Moo II.
