A few days ago i learned that the EuroPC support the 16 Color CGA mode called Plantronics mode. I have made a video about it.

I doubt an 9-pin atari joystick will work. The Schneider's joystick is itself a normal PC 15-pin one which works on other computers, and other 15-pin PC joysticks work on the Schneider (using the Y-cable of course to connect them).

The pinout you have found is correct though, this is taken from the "Techniker-Schulung"-"Technician training":

Keep in mind, that EuroPC1 is different from EuroPC2.
For the EuroPC1 you could get a dual joystick-card with 2 analoge 15 ports.
For the EuroPC2 you could get a y-cable with two 9pin digital ports for hooking up on the joystick-port of the EuroPC2 directly.

The EuroPC part is correct, but I believe their joystick was the exact same common 15-pin PC joystick for both PC and PCII.
So for the PCII they did give the y-cable as you wrote, but it also has two 15-pin connectors for normal PC joysticks (and not two 9-pins)

This was very informative. Thanks. So what about using a mouse on the same port, what kind of mouse? Is it the same as something we know - like the Amiga, or Atari mouse? What about driver?

Yes, it is something we know but probably not what you'd expect: it uses the BUS mouse interface (derived from Microsoft's InPort).

There is a driver (mouse.sys) included in the "Works" floppies that came with the PC, a simple DEVICE=MOUSE.SYS suffices. I haven't tried other bus mice with this driver as I don't have any, and I also don't know about the opposite (other bus mice with their own driver on that port). In theory they should but who knows... I attached the driver just for it to exist here, it has a MS copyright "Microsoft (R) Mouse Driver Version 6.14".

You can always use a serial mouse of course.

I use the serial-port on my t1000 to fire up a mt32. this should be possible on euro-pc too.

I see they are much alike the LPT port audio adapters from Serdashop. And they also needs the games to be patched.

Wow. You inspired me. You have taken it all the way. Nice touch with rs232 midi. I must try that.

I am making a video soon where I upgrsde the CPU to a Nec v20 and use the xt-ide bios that support 80186 instructions to get the cf three times faster.

Or is it "hardwired" 8Bit IDE for XT-Drives which means 20-30MB and a real spinning and noisy harddisk?

I strongly doubt it.
It's definitely not IDE, how could it be since it's an XT. The one I've seen had a Seagate ST325-X inside, which is 8-bit IDE or XTA and is the same drive used internally in the EuroPC XT desktop model

If the HD20 can use a IDE drive, you could install a XTIDE BIOS (not XTIDE Controller - only BIOS) in the ISA slot. You can also use the TXIDE BIOS on a 8bit ISA network card.
And then use a IDE2CF og IDE2SD card in the HD20
