i have a Packard bell C110 Multimedia PC It is a PB680 motherboard
i've begun to restore this PC but i've hit a snag
i've changed the AT power supplly to a ATX power supply ( a older enermax with a -5 rail )
i put in a CF adapter and it recognized it then i added a cd drive and when i go to recognize the cd drive it freezes up
and when i have both data cables installed the the CD drive won't light up and spit it's tray out
but pull the data cable it will
i'm not familiar with a Board this old and i can't find a manual on it it doesn't seem to be the PSU since the data cable seems to be the symptom i'm running 40pin IDE cables to try and make sure it's not freaking out from that
my theories' are that there's a jumper setting i'm unaware of
or the board doesn't like the voltage off the CF adapter
