What do you know, ASP2DOS.sys was exactly the correct driver for it. No idea why I couldn't get it working the first time, but on rebuilding my K6-400 and modifying the Windows 98 boot disk to specify IRQ and I/O Port, it works perfectly!

I keep finding latest drivers for windows 9x that are uncertified so I'd like to ask for certified ones even if they're not the latest 😀
Perhaps asserted in branches certified / non certified because sometimes microsoft signed is best even if the lates uncertified is more modern.

MS didn't require certification back then so a lot of drivers are not certified.
Why pay to have the drivers certified by MS if it isn't required?

Win9x is not Vista or 7.

exactly but win9x did have signed drivers just not the latest.
Also does someone know places that catalogue designed for hardware for each os?

That's a double edged sword, IMHO .

On the hand, signed WHQL drivers have had some testing/validating done by Microsoft. How involved the testing was and how worthwhile the rubber stamp was, especially at the time, is debatable, IMHO .

On the other hand, newer Unsigned non-WHQL drivers may well have features and/or bugfixes that never made into an "official" WHQL release, but may have glaring bugs that would have been detected during the WHQL process .

Kept forgetting to upload these: full set of floppies for Evans & Sutherland Freedom (workstation OpenGL card). Drivers for Windows NT 3.51, demos and utilities. Couldn't find anything for Win9x or WinNT 4.0, unfortunately.

I just copied the driver cd for the Creative 3d Blaster Geforce 256 Annihilator and Annihilator Pro. I know my account is brand new and I'm supposed to wait but I see old requests on the forum for the official driver cd so people may still be interrested.
In the CD there are drivers and demos but also bios flashing utilities. They say drivers and bios are for the CT6941 and CT6971 but I have the CT6970 and it's the cd it came with so it must work for it. I guess it would also work with the CT6940.

chuky: The Creative ISO will have to go to Archive.org. Might be able to rip just the drivers out and those post here, no need for Demo's in Vogons driver database.
