hi, question for paul:

from the vdos32 webpage:
When playing Tomb Raider I in software mode, only Windowed mode is supported.

thats what i'm getting. the intro is only playing in a small window, but the main game is full-screen.
How do i change intro size mate?

cheers.

Sorry, you can't at the moment. What I should have said was that, at the moment, VDos32 only suports a Windowed mode, but that if you play the 3dfx version of TR1 via Glidso then Glidos can go fullscreen for the parts it does (the 3D engine parts). The FMVs are still dealt with directly by VDos32 and hence are Windowed.

It something I intend to address, but its a little fiddly, because I'd need to provide a way for Glidos to take over full screen from VDos32.

as for the sound matter, are the cdrom tracks played fine with VDos32 & Glidos ?
Aside from the vdmsound setup, I'm talking about the intro tune, the atmospheric sounds etc., are they as good as before under WinXP ?
(actually I don't have Vista, just asking for the sake of things to come).

I've been playing under Vdos32 and there's no prob with sound..all sound effects and music etc. seem the same as when playing normally under Glidos..

Finally I tried Vdos32 w/Glidos 1.35 under Windows XP Home, but aside from the windowed intro's thing which is well documented on the Glidos website, I miss the cdrom music, even in Glidos rendering.

Webpage says :
When playing Tomb Raider I in software mode, there are no background sounds.
But it isn't software mode I'm in. Any tips ?

P.S.
This is XP Home, not Vista 32 bit.
If I uncheck "Use VDos32" the music is back as usual !

I see. Thx.

But then I wonder how come seejay said there's no prob with sound...
Or you'd just better not use Vdos32 unless you're on Vista ?

Btw, is the audio pack complete for all TR1 & UB levels ? 😳

I think probably he had the Audio pack installed already. A lot of people use it because it had many of the extra sounds that appeared in the Play Station version.
