Hello,

lately I am trying a GT610 PCI by Zotac and only with this I find sometimes in the Win 8.1 accelerate gui or even the accelerated web browser showing the attached gfx artifacts, only rarely and once that part of the page or the entire page's refreshed those lines disappear.
I've never seen such problems in games (even stressing DX11 tests) but only on static accelerated GUI. I'm using the latest 391.35 drivers for this GF119 A1 gpu.
Until now when rarely happens (I don't think it's related to heat the GPU was @40°C when I took the screenshot of this hapenning scrolling this forum with a chromium based gpu accelerated browser) it goes away when a new window or web page is refreshed but if I scroll that page the white lines moves up or down like they are a final rendered part of the page itself together with the web page and if I close down the window the lines remains inside that window and doesn't show up in the background so I suspect is something to do with a single rendered task not something "broken" that might be visible through every windows/layers like a permanent artifact.

EDIT: I thought it was solved with a driver downgrade but these lines still appears in the web browser/GUI.. 🙁

EDIT2: I think this happens only in the Atom based mini-itx PCI board because I didn't see those artifacts in the Core2/G41 config using the same card. I suppose the compatibility of this card might need some specific board and power requirements for such "high end" power demand that get close to the PCI bus limit. So until now I think it's solved.

Thanks

I had to switch back to a Core2 platform to test the Geforce GT610 PCI cause I still can't understand why those horizontal white random lines seems to randomly appears in many GUIs even if ironically not in the games even heavy ones and benchmarks that really would stress the GPU. I changed the thermal paste of the big Zotac heatsink and temps are lowered down almost 10°C at max. Still this didn't solve it. I am now installing it on a N10/ICH7-G41 chipset to see if it was a problem of the Atom config I was testing it on (maybe power requirements? The GT210 PCI doesn't have any problem at all). The card in the PCI version seems to require much less of the same GT610 in PCIe one anyway.

For now I still don't see those lines in the Core2 config.. maybe some Atom/NM10/ICH7 incompatibility with this specific card.

EDIT: On this config it seems that no artifacts are visible so I suppose a mainboard incompatibility.
