Yeah. I'm getting too many of those 'uninteresting' cards. People just give them away usually. I'm not complaining!

Well... In Denmark it seems like people are beginning to expand the "Retro" term on what is worth money.
As stuff like M64's are beginning to rise in value these day's. No more do people wangt to give away.
And I really thought that thing's were cheap in Denmark.

Everything considered Retro are worth a lot here. Furnitures, lamps... Well... You get the point.
It does not even have to be retro, it only has to be 10+ years old and have the retro-label slammed on.
Then people go insane... Paint an Ikea chair red, and call it retro. It might sell. 🤣
Even though it is made from flimsy wood that's suppose to hold together in no more than 5 years.
People starting to sniff out that somewere someone single hardware collector are collecting.
Then they begin thinking in terms of "Now stuff are worth money". Ehmmm....
And it is not like there are many collectors and entutiasts here. We are wery few and keep low
profile. There is not even a Danish community here, and if there were, people will not talk.
"If people start talking, the prices go up" they think. Ohhh what a horror. 🤣
The worst part of it all. Are that those who think it is retro, can not sell at what they think it is
worth, they get mad and drive it to the dumpster. They rather scrap a Voodoo5 instead of getting
just a small amount of money. I don't get the Danish mentality. I don't.

Well... At least I can still source some hardware. It's not like what I described about what they
think are retro, is wildly spread as of now. I only see the trend growing.
Like the one who is trying to sell a Compaq 486, near stock configuration.
No special hardware like GUS or anything. Just a 486-66, 72/76'ish mb ram 4gb cheap china CF-Card
and a standard non interresting Creative SB16 card. No original monitor, mouse or keyboard.
And the dude is hoping for 763 US Dollars. Even though 3 persons have said that it is too
expensive in the last 14 days. The seller is still holding on to 763 UsD. 🤣

PowerColor Radeon 9100 128MB 128-bit 250MHz/250MHz IIRC. Identical to Radeon 8500 LE w/o the 2nd RAMDAC.
Plus there is no PAL/NTSC jumper so - the card may use wrong TV standard...

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

I was interested by a few things from this seller but then I noticed most cards don't seem to be in good shape, who knows how they've been stored all these years...

I also had my eyes on his cards "stored safe in his attic". It must have been very humid in his attic as many cards had lots of corrosion.

Still stuff sold for very little money and if I had not been too buisy messing with my XT clone I would have bid on some items. Beeing buisy doing something else saves me lots of money.

Not strictly retro, but I figured I'd share it anyway because I am bored. So today I obtained;

Two 12V 48 LED arrays of IR LED.
One USB Car Adapter.
Three D Battery holders.

And from a different site, One tub of flightless fruit flies for unrelated reasons.

The electronics I want to be here before Wednesday because I need them for something I am doing on that day. The project does use old parts in places, one of them somewhat notable, and will be used in the contet of something which is potentially very old, so this isn't strictly off-topic.

The fruit flies are just food for my spiderlings, as the last tub did not last long (having to feed probably around 150 spiders) I now only have two left here though as they became territorial, so it was time to let them go. I released them earlier today, so here is hoping they do well. The two I have left are in separate containers. It sucked having to let the rest of them go, I raised them myself and watched them grow from little blue-gray specs into small brown spiders, but there's no feasible way for me to keep upwards of a hundred spiders. I suppose I've given them the best chance they could get though as they wouldn't have been as well fed in the wild, they would have been exposed to cold temperatures and predators when at their most vulnerable. Now they're a little larger and are able to defend themselves against some creatures. Who knows, perhaps some day I shall see them again if I go back to the place I let them go. Here's hoping they live well and take down plenty of mosquitoes and other pests.

More on topic, I will be completing my part of a trade tomorrow if all goes to plan. Snail mail is the most retro thing here, I wish it was possible to send physical objects electronically,,, Actually, probably not, because people like me would abuse it, forging the mail header and sending dildos to random people's mail boxes. And no, before you start getting any ideas, such items will be omitted from this trade, the box will contain old computer components only - in short, a motherboard and some CPUs.

That last one makes me think of Blood. Funny how movie spiders are always unconvincing and make squeaking noises, most real spiders are fairly silent although some use stridulating glands or other means to hiss at things, especially if you make them angry.

In my case, I think this one is more fitting; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWhkMaT7jVo
I had always joked about it and said that I was going to take over the galaxy with a giant legion of spiders, I didn't actually expect that I would end up raising just that.

Not today, these hardware acquisitions were some time ago but they are my most recent. On the left is a Cyrix 5x86 120MHz CPU and on the right is a Cyrix 5x86 unmarked CPU (middle CPU is an old acquisition) unknown stepping and revisions.
