Been playing around with Debian and Duvian Jessie on a K6-2 266 set up with 3 sticks of 128megs of ram. Both run just fine on it. The most suitable web browser for my system is NetSurf. It is light and quick. It doesn't error out on loading the same web pages like Epipany does. Not perfect ny any means but does work. Modern encryption on a P1 class rig must be a plus. Works on a P200mmx set up with 256megs of ram as well, Using xfce4 as the desktop environment with Window Maker and OpenBox as backup.. MATE and LXDE run fine as well.
