Even if i mount to the root (instead of to a pre-designated directory)
mount c: c:\ (not recommended)
mount d: e:\ -t cdrom -ioctl -label gen_cd
install to sub-dir ultimate (c:\ultimate)

it still doesnt recognize the cd 😒

Okay - I am locking this thread now. I have repeatedly asked you to always mount your C-drive as C:\dosbox~1, but you continue to insist on mounting it as something else - either C:\dosbox~1\ultimate or plain C:\.

I will not waste my time with you any more.
