And? What was that the result of? 16bit, s3, qt?

I have win32s installed, but I don't think it makes a difference in this case. The installer did not offer a choice for the 16 or 32 bit version of the game, it automatically chose 16-bit, presumably because it's running on 16-bit Windows.
The XGA warnings suggest you are not using the machine=svga_s3 setting in DOSBox 0.74 with the S3 1.70.04 drivers from the Win3 guide, because I don't get any warnings, so switching to S3 is the first thing you should do.

I don't know what they were from. I did install the correct driver and set it up in the config file. It just opens up a black window now when I tried to run it. Also, I get a cannot create hardware surface error when I use surface as the setting. I am just confused. and Idk why it does better when d is mounted as a folder vs iso. Thank for trying to solve this with me

Then try a different output= setting, such as output=ddraw, output=overlay, or output=opengl.

I don't know what is different. I have the s3 in the config file and setup in 3.1. I don't know what is different.

Used a different version of windows and it worked. Thanks for all your help
