I tried a Geforce 7600GT on a Coppermine P3 at 1 Ghz. I was able to run 3DMark06 kinda decently despite the sight bottleneck.
Performance wise. GT 7600GT is similar to a 6800 Ultra i think

Does any game that runs under Windows 98, or Windows 98 itself for that matter, support multiple GPU's in SLi?
I think unofficial ones are based on 81.89, but with NV4_DISP file compiled from 93.71.
So, if something doesn't work on 81.89, it probably won't on moded ones either.
More info (with quirks) can be found here : LINK
They work "OK-ish" for me so far (with persisting few bugs, like shutdown problem for example).
Multi GPU is a foreign concept for DOS/Win95/98/ME, just like Multi Threaded CPU's.
In short : Windows/diagnostic programs can see two GPU's, but in practice only one GPU can be used 😒
