Yes, it sure does. No firmware is required. The board simply contains an i2c expander that is probed for by the ZuluIDE firmware. Please see my e-mail to you regarding this, as I'd like to help you get it sorted out.

ZULUIDE hardware is so well made but there somethings to iron out to be perfet.
1. In Msdos: a utility to load an iso image on auto autoexec.bat would make it a perfect in msdos.

2.in windows98 a easy way to swap iso images with a big screen and a knob will be king

3. And in the future. Loading original and custom firmware xbox360 style would take from windows xp to windows 11.

4. And don't get me started on retro console. That's after if loader custom firmware is even possible.

To tie off the discussion in this thread, the issue has been logged here, with detailed hardware information and logs:
https://github.com/ZuluIDE/ZuluIDE-firmware/issues/386
I'm happy to continue to work on information gathering and troubleshooting from that ticket.

This issue was resolved in ZuluSCSI firmware release https://github.com/ZuluIDE/ZuluIDE-firmware/r … tag/v2026.10.14

I'm happy to report that with the 2026.10.14 firmware, the ZuluIDE device worked perfectly in all scenarios I previously had issues in. Looks like this is all fixed! Much appreciated.

That really would be brilliant.
If it's a command line tool or can work with parameters you can include it in a .bat file and load the needed image before game start.

Is there anyone that can elucidate how the new v2.5 hybrid board connects to a Pi module the way the older variants do to allow the Wireless control? Also, is there anyone here that has a picture of the control board as they are selling them today. I want to know if I purchase one, what other components I would have to put on it to get it to work (as they state on the website that there are components that would be necessary, but don't provide any pictures or much more information)?

Many Thanks 😀

Shortly after I got it, I kind of dropped the ZuluIDE because it couldn't handle many CD images via the web interface (which is my preferred method of swapping images) but I'm working on tweaking the firmware to overcome that problem and also working on a proper web interface that will be hosted on my NAS which should be VERY snazzy. Here's a picture to give you a preview:

It will basically redirect the default web interface to the much improved one running on my NAS with a JSON file keeping track of all the images, adding box art, manuals, etc. The idea is to control it via my small tablet.
