I have never been able to find the datasheet for the 24FС32 from Catalyst Semiconductor (CSI).
As a result of the acquisition of Catalyst Semiconductor by ON Semiconductor, www.catsemi.com has been integrated into www.onsemi.com.

https://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pd … /CAT24FC32.html

No?

Thanks, you're a genius. 🍻
I also remembered that there were ‘CAT’ microchips, but something didn't click in my head that it was short for ‘Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc.’

🤣 hardly a genius. I literally highlighted "datasheet for the 24FС32 from Catalyst Semiconductor", rightclick, search

I built:
Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!
Re: A comprehensive guide to install and play MechWarrior 2 on new versions on Windows.
Dos+Windows 3.11+tcp+vbe_svga auto-install iso template
Script to backup Win9x\ME drivers from a working install
Re: The thing no one asked for: KICAD 440bx reference schematic

Hi , don't know if it is correct thread but TL;DR version
After installing WinME via Win98 Quick Install, and putting drivers (yesterday) the card refuses to be recognized.
By the SN it appears to be a non-OEM Audigy 2ZS - currently on initial deployment it is with the expected yellow question marks, but after getting to a driver and control panel install yesterday, today I only get red X or outright the card vanishing from Device Manager/list
Not that it had any audio on the semi-successful install either.
What are the chances the EEPROM has bit the dust.
Attached is the single sticker on the back of the card

The attachment SB0350.jpg is no longer available

Check the Subsystem ID in WPCREDIT utility - "00FF" value means the EEPROM is corrupted.
Re: EEPROM corruption on Creative cards

Thanks, will check, but had some development that was not expected.
I have a known working Live! SB0060 card that I pulled from a machine on which I literally played Diablo 2 LOD in 2017-2018
It also fumbled around in similar fashion.
The board is Asrock 775i65GV 2.03.
What I did is flash the latest BIOS (3.30) and replaced the CPU that the board came in (P4 631) with a Conroe-L Celeron 450.
After this , the SB0060 is showing (with ? of course cos I wiped the drivers) but seems to not be vanishing, and the game port was properly detected, which was not happening before, nor the FireWire on the 2 ZS
Also I replaced the CMOS battery before the BIOS update just to be on the safe side.
Now I will try with the 2 ZS modified drivers, which seems to be recommended here and by Phil from Philscomputer lab and see how it goes.
Well at least by replacing the Presshot I got silent-er system (its a box 775, and not even from the copper core variant, at least its not the 45nm C2D paper-thin slice of bread)

I'll do some investigating and try things out on my own card, and document the process here.

Any updates?
I want to backup EEPROM of Audigy 2ZS card using CH341A clip, but not sure about success.

I don't think it is doable without removing the EEPROM chip off the board, sadly.

As for updates, I have managed to fix my Audigy2 card, but apparently the issue wasn't EEPROM corruption but damaged solder joints, so I didn't get the opportunity to try EEPROM programing on the card.
