Mushroom season in Sweden, today i had some alone time so I made myself some Chantarelle soup. Delicious.
After staring at one particularly well-endowed zucchini plant in the garden for an inordinate amount of time, I had a bit of an epiphany: I should stuff that thang!
So I grabbed it -- really yanked it good -- and crammed that poor zucchini with as much tomato, onion, garlic, Swiss & mozzarella cheese, canned crab meat, and fried rice as it would take. The result totally overvolted my taste buds and blew my mind.
Uh, captain, we have a blown transistor on taste bud 1305D, tongue quadrant B. Looks like another stuffed zuuk incident.

Heh, interesting, cabbage rolls, but in a zucchini, and like paella if it was also a pizza and made by a Chinese takeaway 🤣

Funnily enough, I used some leftover fried rice from Friday night's Chinese takeout in the first couple of zucchini.
That's what I love about these stuffed zucchini, man. The ingredients I use get older, the final product stays the same age.

My relatives used to grow big ones, stuff I have tried stuffed only amounts to, sorta cabbage roll filling, sorta shepherds pie, and sorta chili.

Honestly, I would be willing to try some except for my fear of prion diseases (though pork is apparently not very susceptible to those).

Nah, it was raw from a butcher's shop. As far as I know prion disease is not transmissible between species with the exception for cattle to human.

I have been throwing out all fast food hot sauces that I incidentally get for the last year or so, they all seem to have switched to "no flavor, only hot" and I don't think it's my tastebuds or covid damage, because tobasco and franks taste the same.

IDK if I got zapped into a different reality or I didn't notice the world changing, but ham used to be a popular choice for a New Years Day dinner. Very few of the grocery fliers are even featuring ham this year. Though buried inside you might find a small toupie (sp?) ham or something. What seems to be the majority thing on them is "surf and turf" items, seafood and steak... when did that become a new year thing??? Inside the stores the ham selection seems very poor and half hearted, like what you might find on any day throughout the year really.
Anyway, wife wanted a spiral cut ham and we ain't seeing those anywhere, it's not even like anywhere advertised them and sold out, they seem to have de-existed.

They still exist in California. I had some for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas.
I purchased from Costco. But I see at local grocery stores too.
