^I agree with that. 😃
.. except for Windows 95 itself. I have mixed feelings about it.
Windows 95 RTM was buggy, but it had positive things, too.
The blue Setup wallpaper and the welcome melody, the network drivers, auto detect etc.
But Windows 95 also moved everything away from Windows 3.1x era and introduced DirectX,
which ended DOS gaming era. It took away the MIDI Mapper of Windows 3.x etc.
And I didn't like that, it was moving away from that pioneering 1990-1994 computing world
of a Sega Genesis/Sega CD, 3DO, Kodak PhotoCD, Philips CD-i etc and was taking everything with it.
Again, I have mixed feelings here. Windows 95 was a transitional time between 16<>32Bit era.
It still was mostly running 16-Bit software, but focussed on Win32.
Visual Basic 3 was still common during Win 95 times, for example.
Windows 95 was a bridge for legacy networks, too.
It could use an existing DOS network software and then load a Windows network driver and make them both talk to each others.
With Windows 95, the number of novice computer users increased dramatically, too.
By the time Windows 98/98SE came out, it was a mostly 32-Bit computing world.
