Hi all

As the title suggests, I’m having issues getting Hercules graphics mode in full screen to actually use the full screen. I tried several different resolution and scaling options but my results were always 80% of the screen and left aligned, tiny and centered in the screen, or over-sized and wrapping around on top of itself.

If anyone has any insight to share it would be appreciated. Thank you.

This might be due to the fact that a lot of "Hercules" software actually only uses 640x300 pixels on the screen, because that software is a "cheap" port of 320x200 or 640x200 CGA software. The full Hercules resolution is 720x348 pixels. In that case, it is not the primary fault of dosbox, but the software actually wouldn't fill a real Hercules screen as well. Try taking a look at the software in windowed mode. If you get black borders in that window, DOSBox considers that empty space to be "part of the active image".

Not ideal but I believe you are correct. Thank you for the explanation!
