After a bit of headscratching last night, I managed to get Win98SE installed on my U100. Got most of the drivers working too, including LAN. Didn't detect wifi, but not an issue as I tend to use LAN more anyway.

However, one thing is bothering me, is that 98 does not detect my DVD dock drive. This was an issue since installation, so I had to get around that by putting the setup files onto the HDD itself via XP. DOS does not detect it either, hence the above issues during installation.

It detects my USB DVD drive fine, after installing the USB mass storage driver.

Would it be due to the weird dock nature of the DVD drive, or that the DVD drive is too new for 98? It works fine on XP or any other OS.

WinME runs better than 98 on this libretto. On WinME this problem doesn't happen.
