Yes, it's as awesome as it sounds.

This is a 486DX4 that I acquired earlier this year. My first foray into the retro PC scene. I absolutely love it. It was a fun project that is mostly complete now. This would have been my dream computer when I was 11 or 12 years old. Most of the games you see here, with the exception of some of the newest ones, I originally experienced on a 386DX 33Mhz.

Let me know what you think of the video please. And what do you think my next retro PC project should be? I am thinking about a Slot-A Athlon, if I can find the parts, because that was the first kind of PC I ever built without any supervision. But I also would have a lot of fun with some kind of fast Pentium, I'm sure. Something to cover gaming from 1997 through 2002 would probably make sense, since this 486 can basically handle whatever I want to throw at it that's older than that (even if sometimes I have to use a TSR to slow it down). Don't forget to sub 😉

I was pleasantly surprised, I wasn't expecting a Progressive Metal style instrumental.

As for another PC project, a Slot-A or Pentium 3 would be a great next step up. Overkill for the most demanding DOS games, and can handle pretty much anything compatible with Windows 98SE.
