Certain later board revisions are listed as being requirements for Coppermine compatibility. My board is a revision earlier than required, and when I install a Coppermine CPU (via slocket adapter) it says on POST that the voltage is not supported and refuses to go any further. However the Semtech SC1185ACSW voltage controller my board has supports voltages down to ~1.287. Is it possible that this is just a software/BIOS issue and with patching I could get around this, or is there some other power delivery requirement/incompatibility I'm not aware of? Thanks!

Using an earlier bios version can get around this issue. Try P13.
