Shogo without textures

Hello everyone.

I recently decided to see how Shogo would run on my new PC. The game starts without a hitch every time, surprisingly (based on the number of people who report that it fails to do so altogether), and yet has a major issue that I am unable to fix so far: there are no world textures at all. All player/NPC/enemy/weapon models have their proper textures, mind you, it's just the world textures that are affected - they show up as solid white or gray-ish blank sheets. No color, no details, no textures.

OS is Win 10, 64-bit with all updates. GPU is GTX 1660 Super with latest drivers.
Game version is 2.2.114 (installed from original media)

Fixes I have tried so far:
- dgVoodoo 2.82.5: Didn't work. This is my go-to fix for old games that misbehave and this is the first time it fails (it works perfectly fine with AvP 2). Tried changing options too, no luck.
- Various compatibility options: Didn't work.
- Peixoto's patch: Didn't work. It was recommended by the "PC Gaming Wiki" but the only thing it did was increase the resolution. World textures were still missing.

I'm stumped. I'm normally pretty good at getting old games to work, but this one seems to mock me.

If anyone has encountered this before and knows how to fix it, or has some ideas about potentially solving this problem - please lend me your assistance.

Don't waste your time, or time will waste you...

You might try the answer to the "I've got [insert older-than dirt video card here] and I don't see any textures when I run the game!" question on this page.
