Ran across this new GPU benchmark that's apparently still in the dev phase.

Wow, that's a pretty nice looking benchmark. Turning on Path Tracing seems to be broken on my system , but with that turned off it works fine.

I did a couple of back to back runs. It isn't exactly "fast" but I'm really happy with how my current setup handles this stuff. Bought this X570 board back in 2019, got smoking deal on a 5800X3D about a year and a half ago, got another smoking deal on 64GB of DDR4-3600 CL18 and managed to snag this almost-unused ASUS TUF 3080 10GB 5-6 months back for $300 locally. I have tried to optimize this system to be as quiet and efficient as possible.

My 3080 is running with a custom curve to reduce power consumption, noise and heat output. It topped out at 63C and 221Watts according to MSI Afterburner. The 5800X3D is also tweaked a bunch with PBO2 tuning and it topped out at 67C during the test. Ambient room temp is around 24C. While running the benchmark my system's fans barely even sped up and it was barely audible, so I think I've finally got things where I want them.

This is in a (relatively toasty) Fractal Define R6 USB-C with a lot of low RPM 140MM fans and a Thermalright Frost Commander 140 on the CPU.

... sorry, haven't had an opportunity to geek out over modern hardware benchmarking in quite a while.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.
