Heyyyyyyyo,
I found a copy of Quake yesterday and when I loaded it up it seems to be the registered version 1.06. I'm confused though because the "source code" at the back of the trifold is the same as the shareware copies I've seen. If anyone knows what release of Quake this is, that would be cool.
Thanks

Awesome. I didn't think I would ever get a copy of Quake because they're hella overpriced, but I just happened to find one. Epic

What an epic find, bro

OK I'll keep it in mind. This is a separate question but it's good to keep similar threads together

That CD is CD # 04-12100CD: which is the Quake registered v1.06.
11-1111 Source Code on the packaging was used for both the original Big Box and shareware release.

So this came out of the original big box.

I have two boxed copies of Quake, the original release and a later one with Windows 95 compatibility.

The original boxed version has the "11-1111 source code" on the back of the CD case.

The Win 95 version has a single large bar code in its place.
