Hi All,

I was following an old thread on the Hearsay 1000 voice recognition/speech synthesis PC card and there was a request for the PC software that had been lost to time, it seems. I didn't see if it was finally archived. Rather then resurrecting an old thread, I thought I would post a new one since I just got a Hearsay 1000 for the PC still sealed in the box. I'd be happy to open it and archive any disks inside, if needed.

Here is a quick picture I took of my General Instruments SP 1000 / SSI 263P addons including the Circuit Cellar Lisn'er 1000 for the Apple II and the Hearsay 1000 for Commodore 64 and PC.

The attachment Hearsay 1000 Lisner sm.jpg is no longer available

Santo

Is the picture above yours? Why would an IBM PC version of the Hearsay 1000 for the IBM PC and compatibles come with the card for the Apple II?

They are three separate devices. One is for the IBM PC, one for the Apple II and one for the Commodore 64. All based on the same speech chips. The card for the IBM PC is not shown because that box hasn't been opened yet. When I get to playing with some IBM PC hardware, I will open it and archive the contents.

I found the drivers for Hearsay Gold, which sort of worked with my Hearsay 1000 for PC, but I am not sure those drivers always work correctly. So if you have the time, an upload of your Hearsay 1000 drivers to Vogonsdrivers would be appreciated.
