Just something I reading as a way to kill time.

Sort of a hobby-horse of mine (even though I never ran it.) Could it all have gone different? Maybe. Or maybe no chance could have gone any other way.

I wished IBM had written a Visual Basic 3 runtime for OS/2.
Considering how many VB3 application had been out there in the Windows 3.1 hayday, it would have been a success.
The idea isn't so farfetched as it seems at first glance, because Visual Basic was an abstraction to the Windows API.
Well written VB applications used the VB runtime and P-code instead of Win16/Win32 and x86 code.
