Hi, I'm having this weird issue with Windows 98 on my Pentium 3 PC:
if I have my USB Asus CD-ROM drive plugged in and start the PC, once it gets to the desktop where I should see the username and password window (Network password), it just stays with the blank desktop and hangs there.
If I unplug the cd-rom drive, boot the PC, it starts normally and I see the "network password" login screen, press enter, and after it loads the icons on the desktop THEN I plug in the cd-rom drive, it works! I don't understand why it does that...
Currently assembled vintage computers I own: 11
Most important ones:
A "modded" Olivetti M4 434 S (currently broken).
An Epson El Plus 386DX running MS-DOS 6.22 (currently broken).
Celeron Coppermine 1.10GHz on an M754LMRTP motherboard
