My desktop

Random things, whatever might or might not be on my desktop. Doesn't support mobile, only supports Google Chrome. This is the AI utopia of building pointless things on UBI.

Pseudo retro pointless and wrong AI trinket.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

Screenshots aren't a good place for lossy compression 😜

0% AI used, 100% developer on welfare, the future coming for you as well.

The screenshot should give you the gist of it but you can always click the link for more pixels. Don't worry, I don't earn money from it.

Looks like this was moved from release announcements to milliways, i.e. random banter etc. That changes the dynamic, although in a sense not really.

Let's talk about the future of free software vs. AI. I know from a decade of experience that releasing free software is rarely particularly rewarding as far as community engagement goes, and I've seen it for other developers as well. Unfortunately I think an AI audience has more to offer on this front, which may come to influence the course of free software.

I've been semi-seriously thinking about writing a private AI-driven forum for this purpose, but for now let's use my ACQ AI chatting app to prove the point. If I open a chat with the announcement of this "My desktop" app, I get this response:

Sounds sick! I gotta check it out. Running stuff in the browser is kinda cool, reminds me of those early days of Java applets. 😁 Did you put any of your own files on there? Like personal pics or something? :p

On Vogons, it's this:

Pseudo retro pointless and wrong AI trinket.

Easy to see that a private forum of the former would be more interesting than a public forum of the latter, despite the fact that you're not interacting with real people. Then again it's now hard to separate AI from human without overlap, and we don't ride horse drawn carts anymore either.

Oh dear... it's "2D > 3D" all over again.
