Did not find any mention of this on Vogons. In the past I put some effort into getting the original working better on semi-modern hardware: HiRes/Widescreen Patch for Mech Warrior 3. But it remained troublesome. Also the content of the game is rather canned and un-moddable, plus the computer-opponents are rather stupid. So it is good to see some hope for the better parts of this game.

Welcome to UnMech3

A fan-based Remake/Rebuild of MechWarrior 3
It will put you in a 'Mech without having to do any of that.
We try to be as true to BattleTech as possible, while remaining the idea of the MechWarrior3 game.
Nothing is final, Nothing might work as expected And finally we do this just to have good old Mech Fun.

Downloads:
Windows x64 and Linux x64. No source code AFAIK.
Original Game Data required.
The new executable needs to be in a folder inside the original mechwarrior3 game root. For example; make a folder UnMech3 inside C:\Games\Mech3 and run it from there.
