Long time Vogons stalker but just now made an account. I've decided to finally consolidate my Win98 and XP computers to one tower. Since I don't want to buy a PCI-E replacement for my Radeon X850 XT, I've narrowed my search down to using an AsRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 with a Q6600 processor, wherein I would use my ATi GPU when running 98 then switch to a PCI-E card to use XP.
My XP computer is total overkill with a GTX 960. Since I've read online about the other Asrock AGP/PCI-E motherboards having compatibility issues with PCI 3.0 and even some 2.1 graphics cards, I was curious if anyone could share their experience using a PCI-E GPU with the 4CoreDual-SATA2? I would like to use my GTX 960 so I don't have to go buy another graphics card but I'm not against it either.
I'd appreciate any tips anyone has to share!
