Ive been looking all over for the bios, or a workable one for a Radisys EPC 16 board.
Running bios version 1.00.07
Its an old board. Looking to reflash it to bring it back to life. Pictured is the post from another working EPC16 board.

OR, a way to back up the bios and reflash to this dead board. Currently running windows 2000.
Modern bios backup programs dont run on this ancient stuff. This is for a SMT pick and place machine at work, so I cant update the computer
Any help is appreciated.

The BIOS is stored on an 48-TSOP Intel flash chip located near the battery.
You can run DOS and uniflash should be able to do the backup as it is an Intel 440BX chipset machine.
Or you can use the PhoenixBIOS recovery mechanism which is activated using a jumper - see page 159 of the user's guide.

Why would you want to do a backup and reflash on a machine that is able to boot to OS?

Ill look into it thanks.
Its not for the machine that boots. A similar machine uses the same card, but will not boot. Want to copy bios from the good card, and flash it to the nonbooting card since i cant find a bios to download.

Ill clarify a bit. The other card worked, but the battery poped out and now I have no video. I need something to flash to it to get the video restored.

Where did you find a manual?

Somewhere on the Internet Archive: https://ia601806.us.archive.org/9/items/manua … 105/5680105.pdf

Thanks. Id seen that one. Maybe the epc16 and epc 1316 are similar enough for it to work. Doesnt work anyway. No harm trying
