As per subject, I'm getting old and the hand I'm using on the mouse during winter gets very cold, what I was doing the last winters was to use a electric hand warmer and sometime change the hand which I'm using the mouse.
I tried to buy a cheap aliexpress warming thing, pratically is an enclosed thing with a warming strip which is pratically useless probably due to the usb limited power.
I read around that using a wrist rest can mitigate the problem.

I assume you also use a mousepad? I’ve seen people mousing on bare tables. A nice soft mousepad will block some of the cold from the tabletop.

And the rest of us would be carousing the aisles, stuffing baloney.

Yes exactly, despite my top is made of wood it's obviously colder than a mousepad.

Run a dryer duct from your PSU vent to dangling over your mousepad.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Head Gloves from Costco.
They also work with touch screen displays like phones and tablets

I use them all day long.
Protects my hands and keeps them warm.

Costco sells them for Men, Women, and Kids sizes.

$13 at Costco stores and they go onsale for $10

I buy about 7 pairs each winter and use them all year around.

If you buy them tight fitting you can type with them if you have a BIG Keyboard with BIG keys like an IBM Retro keyboard.

if there is enough room on the desk, maybe use one of those heated pet beds (the flat plastic ones) as a mouse pad
