I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with Pentium 4 and Sound Blaster Live! PCI sound card. (As to which specific version of SB live I'm not sure other than that it does work in DOS mode.) In Creative System Information it lists Creative SB Live! Value and Creative EMU10K1 Gameport.
I am having the following problems:
1. In DOS mode, the sounds and music both work. Issue: I am using this for speedrunning and have to be able to skip spoken dialogue with the period key. On occasion, in different spots of the game, it glitches out like so:

I'm assuming that it is me skipping the dialogue with the period key that is causing the crash, because that's always what I am doing when it happens, though since I am spam pressing the buttons I can't be sure.
2. In Windows 98 mode, the voices don't work but the music does. I've tried various slowdown programs and it's possible that the right one just hasn't been found yet. But I've tried a couple that slowed the L1 cache and it did nothing, and one that disabled the cache in general (cpuspd), and with those settings the game won't boot at all boots very slowly and is unplayable, it also says multiplier isn't supported. Also tried a couple patches. This isn't a HUGE dealbreaker in speedrunning since I am playing to be fast, not to showcase the game, the only problem is that the audio is a cue to skip the voices and if I don't realize someone is talking it's a time loss.
I bought this off ebay and the person who sold it to me is the one that did all the driver installation. Also as such I don't know the exact model numbers of everything unless I open up the tower and I'm leaving that as a last resort, but if there's a way to get more info from the OS I can do that.
I could just play this in scummvm but I would really like to play it in hardware.
