i have a big problem with resident evil 1

i istall the game,set the compatibility with win95/98 and the game start...but is very fast!!!!!
the game run faster then the normal!

somebody can tell me how solve this problem? 😢
my pc:
P4 2.6ghz
radeon 9700 pro 128 mb
1 giga ram
win xp home edition
