Hello everyone, I am looking to play Sokoban, a game which I have previously booted and played successfully. I wanted to play more today, but upon launching the game, I was greeted with an incomprehensible mess of characters instead of the start screen of the game.

This is my first time using Dosbox so I am very much lost when it comes to troubleshooting, any advice is much appreciated.

Aside from the passage of time, nothing happened, files are still where I've left them, disregarding driver and windows updates, everything is unchanged. The only thing I have tried so far is reinstalling Dosbox and rebooting.

The game does load and it does ask me whether I want to use keyboard controls or not, but as soon as the title screen is supposed to load, things fall apart. My keyboard inputs alter the garbled mess on the screen, so I'm assuming the game is running, but the display is completely scuffed.
