I have noticed that the correct sound card settings in System Shock's CYB.CFG file (for my ESS 1869 being run as a SB Pro on IRQ 5 with UNISOUND) are different from those suggested in this thread on ttlg.com.

For me, rather than the suggested values, here are the correct values for my ES1869 (and presumably, the newer Soundblaster Pro2s and clones):

digi_list 3
joystick 131
midi_card 3
midi_dma -1
midi_drq -1
cd_data_dir_path C:\sshock\data
digi_io -1
digi_irq -1
digi_card 15
digi_dma -1

digi_drq -1

midi_card 3 and digi_card 15 are the most important. midi_list 7 and digi_list 3 may also be important. The suggested setting of digi_card 3 on TTLG did not work for me.

Does anyone else have any knowledge of the System Shock configuration and/or have any further knowledge on which settings are appropriate, given that the TTLG thread seems to have at least some inaccuracies?
