It's either my mind playing tricks on me or a peculiar case of the Mandela Effect, but I could swear there was a website dedicated to computer magazine cover disks from all around the world that even hosted the said cover disks. I think LGR mentioned it in a video of his? The site itself had a very basic look, black background, oldschool, 90s style HTML. Can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

Sounds like a copyright headache.

I have a small collection of such images (from UK magazines). Some I downloaded from various internet places, others are images of disks I got on eBay. I once posted a program from one of them here, but it got deleted by mods because copyright. That's going to be a problem.

Is this too much voodoo?

Not sure about cover disks, but there's a site about vintage magazines.
It's a site, sort of an archive, dedicated to world's radio history, I think.
