Hey there,

i've read that the R9 280x aka 7970 is the last compatible Windows XP Radeon card.

I would like to buy the MSI TwinFrozr 6GB model. Will this still be running fine under XP?

Also I only found drivers for Windows Vista. Which driver will be the best for XP?

Hello PaddyWi!
The card should run fine under XP (though I didn't test one myself). The driver that supports 280X can be downloaded from archive.org: https://archive.org/details/icafe-winxp-9.00. … -br294594-sep24

There is no Catalyst Control Centre in that package. You can install it separately by unpacking HD7970 drivers (https://www2.ati.com/drivers/14-4-xp32-64-dd-ccc-pack3.exe) and running 14-4-xp32-64-dd-ccc-Pack3\Packages\Apps\CCC\Core-Static\ccc-core-static.msi.
