Trying to use dosbox to play Theme Hospital and receiving numerous errors

Hi

Firstly I'm a total n00b to dosbox. I keep getting the error:

'MSCDEX: Failure: Drive-letters of multiple CDRom-drives have to be continuous.'

- exactly that message when attempting to mount my game.

I am a total n00b as I said, to dosbox, so any help from a beginner's point of view would be appreciated.

FYI I am trying to run the Theme Hospital PC CD rom on my Windows 11 computer. I have compatibility issues to say the least. I have tried all the usual Windows Compatibility fixes but I still get an error saying:

'Unsupported 16-bit-application:
The program or feature cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask of a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.'

Theme Hospital was taken over by EA games (it was previously owned by Bullfrog), I wonder if they would have any idea. Perhaps if nobody here can help me then it is worth asking them I guess. Thanks in advance.

You have probably entered a malformed command.

First mount a folder from your real hard drive as the virtual c: drive in dosbox, for example:
mount c c:\dosgames

This will be where you install the game (do NOT mount the root of your real drive, always use a subfolder which can be named anything).

Then mount your physical CD that is in the drive (if you're using one), for example:
mount d d:\

Or you can mount an iso image:
imgmount d d:\isos\hospital.iso -t iso

However, it seems like your CD is actually the Windows version, since that 16-bit error only apprears with 16-bit Windows installers which are not supported under 64-bit OS (though the game itself usually has a 32-bit executable and might still work in modern Windows).
I can't remember if the Theme Hospital CD comes with both the Windows and the DOS version. It might, in which case look for a separate installer for DOS.

Sorry I don't understand a word of that. Like I say, I am a n00b.

I have tried something else.. I am trying to mount my game using dosbox, still. Please see the screenshot for what I have done. What am I doing wrong?
