I am trying to play Tapper in Dos Box. I wonder how much is the correct cycle per second setting for it? I read some calculations online, according to that it should be 700, but that is too much. It is too fast, annoyingly. On online playing sites it is emulated at 300 cycle per second. Is that the correct number or it is some other? As I remember it was around that speed.

A lot of those early arcade ports were tuned against a 4.77MHz clockspeed and CGA so it'd be the slowest playable setting you can set it (300-500ish). DOSbox's default cycles setting approximates a more general 386DX-20 system which is already too fast for Tapper (as a real 386 would)
